A fun trip into Holidays past
The author created a fun and believable family story, including the ups and downs, then used brand names and catch phrases of the period to take the reader back in time. It worked! Fun, fast paced, and well read. Anyone growing up in the late 1950s will enjoy the holiday season memories, and everyone can enjoy the family and neighborhood interactions. Maybe a fraction off on “Performance” because the recording seems slow at the 1.0 setting, but that’s on Audible, not the reader or the story. The simple fix is to move the speed up one notch. Enjoy!
