really exciting and a great sequel to The First. Can't wait for another volume to come out in audio

I enjoyed the series very much. great story line and well written. I look forward to reading more of Alex's books.

Alex White is awesome

Not everyone will appreciate this novel and set of novels. The reader is decent but not the best out there.

Just a really fun romp

What it lacks in complexity and stylistic sophistication, it more than makes up for in plain all out swashbuckling fun.

Imagine Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Harry Potter all mixed into a batch of warm cookies and you’ve got the Capricious Universe.

great story

had to get past the less than stellar narration but the story is so engaging you get used to it

Every bit as awesome as the first!

If you liked the first one, you’ll love the sequel! Action! Adventure! Character development! Romance! Some new faces to intrigue you! Infiltration and deep cover and space battles galore. White tells a fabulous story with intricate detail and flawless internal consistency. His characters are vivid, his dialogue snappy and varied, his descriptions gorgeous without being heavy. Anyone who likes space opera should like this book. Anyone who likes plucky heroes running against the odds and doing it in a way not QUITE above board will love this book. Anyone who loves sparkly magic will like this book. I am telling you, this story and its predecessor merge all these things into a satisfying and brilliant narrative that kept me wanting more. I deeply hope there is another on its way!

The only criticism I have is that performance wasn’t quite as polished this go-around. Nothing I couldn’t listen past, but it’s a shame it’s not as polished as the story itself.

A good second book

Overall a good continuation of book one. More character development anplot. Some parts might have been more wordy then needed, Hope next book continues like the first two.

Didn't break even or surpass book 1

I feel like this series could have just ended after book 1. Seemed like more of the same in different circumstances.
