Most French students try to learn French grammar through rules and rote memorisation, especially while learning verb tenses! This doesn't work, and is extremely stressful for you as a learner. Why? Because there are lots of so-called "rules" to learn and it's impossible to hold them all in your head at the same time while you're speaking. It's also not a natural approach...native speakers don't learn the language with rules and memory tricks, after all!
In this story, you will listen about Pauline and her sister Lucie. They are two young women, living on an island cut off from the world. They work as housekeepers in the mansion of Monsieur Dubois. On a stormy night, a valuable necklace belonging to Madame Dubois disappears. All evidence points to Pauline being the culprit and Monsieur Dubois threatens to kick her and her sister out, or worse!
