Americans love Donald Trump, and the legacy mainstream media simply cannot understand why.
And this mere fact drives them bonkers!

The book you are about to embark on includes two distinct sections.
We will first detail exactly how Americans feel about Donald J. Trump, and then we will show how this differs greatly from the opinions of the media.

In Part One, we will detail the thirteen reasons why Americans love Donald Trump.

And when we say Americans, we specifically mean normal, everyday people. Someone who doesn’t live, eat, breathe and dream politics. Someone who gets up, swigs some coffee, goes to work, gets involved in their community, helps the kids with their homework, pays the bills and cracks a beer on the weekend. They watch a sitcom or two in the evening and go to church on Sunday. They mow the lawn and shop for groceries. They wouldn’t miss their daughter's dance competition or their son’s football game.

In other words, these are the people who make up the majority of America, including the wide swath the liberal media consider “flyover country.” These aren’t the people attending the fancy cocktail parties on either coast. Rather, they are the hard-working, conscientious men and women with traditional American values that make up the fabric of our nation. Part One dives into thirteen reasons, among countless more, why these normies love Donald Trump.

In Part Two of this book, we will take a trip back a few years to see exactly how the media has covered Donald Trump and his ascension to the Presidency of the United States - twice. We’ll recap specifics about what the media said, how they treated their audience and what they believe about Trump.

To accomplish this look back, we’ll read through many articles written by yours truly, which were published for Barrett News Media from 2020 to 2024. These articles are recaps and summaries of what was delivered at the time by the media personalities involved. The messages, expertise and knowledge are, thankfully, their own. My goal was to capture the opinions and viewpoints of these news media leaders, and bring it to the reader in a concise, entertaining and easy-to-consume format.

My agreement or disagreement with these points of view is irrelevant. While I do, in fact, agree with many of their viewpoints, I certainly don’t see eye-to-eye with every one of them. And hopefully, neither will you. Their opinions may excite you, enthrall you or anger you….so be prepared! They are the experts, bringing their unique worldviews, education and experience in the way they deliver these news stories to us every day. I thank them for delivering this material to us in the unique way that only they can.

And as much fun as these pieces were to compose at the time, they are even more exciting to re-read now, in their ability to illuminate both the country’s love of and the media’s disdain for the same man - Donald Trump. It will be clear to see which media personalities got it, and which didn’t. It will illuminate which voices understood the mood of the country during the dour Biden years of malaise and moral corrosion.

Our look back will highlight the opinions of those who saw what was coming - and some who didn’t - between Trump 45 and Trump 47.

Revealing exposé of the infatuation that the Republican Party has for Donald Trump and how conservatives have made up their media narratives to denigrate and demonize mainstream media, objective journalism, and liberal political ideology. The first part of the book discusses 13 reasons why Trump supporters are rabidly loyal to him and why his approval rating never seems to drop below 43%. The second part of the book contains a number of opinion pieces from conservative media over the past several years. This part is particularly enlightening for readers who are not familiar with right wing media. You can hear how the various commentators weave misinformation, partial truths, outright lies, pejorative language, and flawed logic into the fabric of the MAGA movement. For example, a piece that aired in about February 2024 described using the tactic of demoralization of federal government workers by demeaning their integrity and the value of their work so as to encourage self resignations from their jobs. The strength of the right wing media is its relentless attack on its political opponents and the mainstream media.
