1 Chronicles: When history reveals His story and ours

History is full of similar failed expectations and one such instance is found in the last books of the Old Testament after the people of God returned to the land of promise, only to find life did not measure up to what they expected. That was when the LORD God sent three prophets along with three governmental officials to help sort things out.

In the providence of that time God inspired a person to author 1 and 2 Chronicles to remind His people of their glory days and how what was, still was a part of God’s plan and purpose, moving toward the goal He had beyond their present.
