Jack London: Oyster Pirate

Jack London is considered to be one of the greatest adventure writers of the literary world. His own life was an adventure...and he borrowed heavily from his own experiences. At age 13 he was working 12-18 hours a week in a cannery in San Francisco, and by age 15, he borrowed enough to buy his own sloop, which he put to work pirating oysters.
