Another hit for Tina Folsom. I loved this book. Along with Gabriel's Mate this is up there as being one of my favorites from this series. Defiantly read this series in order. If you like romance, hot vampires, and a great story you won't regret getting this series. I personally think bald men are sexy, as long as they go for it completely and not partially. I am impatiently waiting for the next books. I know at least 3 more are written, just a matter of time to get to audio format. So tempted to buy on my kindle and read first. Other authors I recommend if you like Tina Folsom are Thea Harrison, Larissa Ione, Charlaine Harris, Sherrilyn Kenyon, and Nalini Singh.

The narration of this story was as enjoyable as the prior books. Zane was redeemed well. We came to Learn about his past and he faced it head on.

Yvette told Zane that she wished he would fall in love with his worst enemy!! Well he did, or at least his enemy's daughter. Every since Zane was introduced in this series I have wondered what his story was. What made him such a dark character?? Well this tells it all and I'm surprised that he isn't more dark then he is. But this book shows that he also has a "human" side that he keep buried deep. But love brings it out in him and it is the only thing that is going to save him. But he almost lets his hatred for his enemy destroy his chance for love.

A great addition to the series, but the narrator need to work on his female voices.

Well Zane (the brooding, loner and emotionally scarred member of the Scanguards) has been a bad bad boy again so he's downgraded to being a mere babysitter for a 20 year old halfbreed virgin named Portia.

He's on the edge, angry and barely stable but he takes one look at Portia and there's instant mutual sizzle and she's determined he's going to be 'the one'. This is a compelling listen about forbidden desire, duty, temptation and his quest for vengeance for heart-wrenching sins that was done to him and his family. As we learn, along with Portia, of Zane's intense torturous history understanding and compassion slowly breaks through his shell and, as a result, he becomes even more likeable.

This is a well written and developed storyline with great characters, a lovely puppy called Z, surprises, danger, twists, fun and a passion that slowly and naturally builds as Zane and Portia are helplessly drawn together until there's steamy, but not graphic, sex scenes and a touching romance. However, there's an OMG revelation and the imagery of Zane's newly found feelings and emotions being suddenly drained away is heartbreaking. The Scanguard Team joins in to hopefully turn revenge and anger into forgiveness and love.

Worth a credit? I just have to read 'Scanguards Vampires' and it's an auto download for me and if you haven't already listened to any of these I strongly suggest you start at book 1 and enjoy a great paranormal series. So, YES, well worth a credit and TF seems to be adding more and more characters so the series could hopefully go on and on.
