My enemy is The Apocalypse Society: Three brothers, a hidden agenda, distorted masks, and minions who do their dirty work.
They tried to kill the rabbit. They injured two of the men I love. They thought they could cut me down.
Not only my life, but the lives of my four men, are now in danger.
Time is running out. The rabbit is almost in their trap. The next time, they may succeed in killing me. Or worse, someone I love.
This fight is life or death. I will get the answers I crave, or I'll burn every obstacle in my way to the ground.
I won't go down without a fight. I'm Kaycee f*cking Cole. I'm stronger than they give me credit for.
Things are about to get wicked.
Wicked Deceit is a full-length, dark, contemporary, new adult, bully romance full of mystery, spicy scenes, and foul language. It is a why-choose novel, meaning the FMC has more than one love interest. FMMMM.

Excellent story and incredibly well written!

Wicked Deceit had so much potential, but unfortunately, the execution didn’t quite stick the landing for me. While I’ve enjoyed this series overall, this final installment felt unnecessarily drawn out and that really impacted my reading experience.
✅ Pros
The emotional tension and drama are still very present, and there are moments where the story does pull you back in.
The characters remain complex, and the foundation built in earlier books is strong.
The plot does eventually come together, giving closure to lingering storylines.
Fans invested in the series will appreciate seeing how everything ultimately resolves.
❌ Cons
This book dragged a lot. What could’ve been a tight, impactful finale felt stretched far beyond what was needed.
Honestly, much of this story could have been edited down and merged into the second book without losing anything important.
The pacing was slow and repetitive, making it hard to stay engaged.
It took me nearly a month to finish when I usually finish books (even 400+ pages) in 2–3 days. That says a lot.
🔚 Conclusion
While Wicked Deceit isn’t a bad book, it definitely overstays its welcome. Strong ideas and emotional payoff are buried under excessive length and pacing issues that could’ve been resolved with tighter editing. I don’t regret finishing it, but I do wish the story had respected the reader’s time a bit more. A solid 3.5 stars good bones, just needed a serious trim.
Unnecessarily long....But good
