Relentlessly witty

Where sharp logic meets a taste for the absurd and tragic comedy of life.

I mean that sincerely, but also it is the result of me thinking "1 word left" was a statement about allowances versus a progress report on minimum standards. This is too hilarious to be misunderstood as an empty bid at gratuitous pith, and if I have the space, I feel called upon to elaborate.

As someone who listens to a good amount of comedy, Hari's stuff is as finely tuned as professionally produced music.

One should listen with caution if you're in public and have a sense of humor because you *will* be that person laughing too much for public, and making people uncomfortable, and you *will* be too distracted to notice in time to regain face.

One favorite theme is how Hari takes the virtue of egolessness (in the sense of that standard of self-effacement often demanded most from those with the least power and respect, the demand one never claim pride without permission/proof)... and turns it on its head with a wanton display of talent that excuses a decent measure of arrogance, yet at the core, he stays humble. And any seething cynic recognizes the vulnerable humanity in their own kind.

Hari's material is not for everyone, but I'm made more confident by anyone who digs Hari, and the way he dismantles rhetoric and plays with it. Like I brought my best friend to a live show and we're close enough I wasn't surprised she liked him, but it also is/was a part of feeling close that she did.

Honestly this is a review/endorsement of all his work -- there is not one I would not listen to or recommend. (But I'll get 5 stars up at least because it's the right thing to do. )
