Sultry and Delightful

Voyeur 1 is a short story that begins the whole Voyeur series which is five part long so far. The first Voyeur book introduces us to Brett Masters, a young man who is forced back into the closet when he goes home to help his mother and sick father. It’s not easy to readjust living with your parents, and even worse when you have to hide such an integral part of yourself. Feeling frustrated and isolated, Brett ends up stumbling into the sexy and mysterious V Lounge, a club full of kink, sex, and the promise to fulfill his every desires. However, there’s an unexpected twist when Brett ends up running into the last person he would ever expect at a gay club, and soon Brett finds himself exploring more than just sex, but also the possibility of love and romance.

This was a short story, but it packed a lot of development and action for its size. I was really pleased with how well crafted Brett Masters was as a character, and enjoyed his journey into kink and love. The plot pacing didn’t feel rushed, but I did feel like this book was more like a chapter than a standalone segment in the overall series. I immediately started book 2 right after book 1 which I think really helped with my overall enjoyment of book 1 since I didn’t feel like the ending was abrupt. Therefore, I highly suggest you be prepared to binge the series, or at least books 1 and 2 for maximum enjoyment. You won’t be disappointed because Louisa Mae writes some of the best sex scenes I’ve had the delight to enjoy. Like the series title indicates, there is a lot of voyeurism, and it’s erotic and sexy. The buildup of the sexual frustration is delicious and it makes the release and pleasure that much better.

Dan Calley narrates the audiobook and his voice is like decadent chocolate with a hint of spice—smooth and scrumptious with subtle bite. Dan’s sultry voice is perfect for this book, and he performs he characters magnificently. I really enjoyed his performance. The audiobook production is well done and there are no glitches or outside noises.

I definitely recommend this series.

Dan Calley's audio delivery was enjoyable. It took me a bit to get used to his accent, but after that it was a seamless listen.

Narrator Dan Calley’s perfect delivery of the two tantalizing short stories was nothing else but perfection. His “Leeds” accent brought originality to the story. This is the town where the protagonist grew up, and the story played out. I’m not an expert in accents, but it created a bigger appreciation and believability of the story. I was able to understand Dan easily. His breathing and the cadence of his voice was comfortable and very enjoyable to listen to.

The plot itself and the characters were beautifully written. The characters pulled me into their world immediately and I could visualize their world. It is a tremendous big skill to tell a story in a little over 1 hour and satisfy my needs. It consisted of well-rounded characters and world-building.

I love how the appealing, the dark, and the secretive V Lounge sucked not only Brett but myself as well into its alluring corners. It is those dark corners that aided Brett to grow into himself and accept who he is, as well as his sexuality. And yip, the scenes are hot, hot, hot 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. It is erotic fiction at it’s best, so expect to hear sex and some more sex. All that in one hour!

Brett is in love with his best friend, Stephen, and Stephen ends up being a big bloody thorn in my shoe. I cannot divulge more, but the best way I can describe my frustration is that if I get a hold of Louisa, I’m gonna tie her up and spank that ass! Then put a chair down so she can sit, said ass down, and simultaneously push a table with a pen and paper in front of her! FFS, why are books so short?

I am eagerly awaiting the next installment of the Voyeur series. I definitely recommend it, it is scorching hot with a twist of lemon drops!

The chosen drink for these two audiobooks is one flaming Sambuca straight up!

I want to watch

Its funny how much you could pack in a short story.
Brett is a closeted young man who never had a boyfriend. He is so lonely and seemingly given up on the idea of having someone special for his own. I thought there for a second he might expire from loneliness and longing. Brett needs a hug for sure, then more hugs while naked...
Going to gay bars while looking behind his shoulder wondering if anyone would recognize him is just sad. He a stumble upon an occasion to spy on a couple having sex. This opens up new horizons for him, things he didn’t know about himself: he likes to watch. Once he gets him membership to V he let loose. He can be a voyeur all he wants.
What made me laugh Brett back living with his parents and having to sneak out in the dead of the night to go to the club….priceless!
This one has a making for an erotica, it teases without actually going there, which makes it more tantalizing.

I wonder if we will know more about Stephen and Joe. How did they both end up here. Glad there is more to the story.
Narrator was brillian! I can hear the Brett’s frustration and isolation from the world. His accent was a delight. As a non English speaker I have to trust he was using the right one for Leeds.

I can’t wait to know what will happen next.
