The Reluctant Anarchist is a sexy, chopsy, smutty short story set in the hardcore punk scene in the north midlands of England. About Martha, early 30's. A woman with 'an arse like two babies under a blanket'...Rocking the hot gothette or skater girl with pigtails look through a constant ever-changing whirlwind of gigs, bong parties and bizarre sexual encounters with unsuitable men. Bored with the constant barrage of anarcho-politics Martha's torn between the fashionable vapid elements of 'the scene', gorgeous boys and the grim and penniless existence her wannabe soap-dodging boyfriend Zak desperately wants them to live. Much to Zak's disgust Martha works 'for the system' in the local MOD lab. And has a mortgage on a homely box overlooking the canal, as opposed to a cardboard box next to the canal. Outspoken as he and his mates are, they're generally harmless. However after a particularly trying week at work Martha loses her temper with his constant berating and barracking tone. And this causes him to finally adopt a newly galvanised intent. Which is about to cause their ordinary, everyday life and entire social existence to come crashing down - When the weekly 'pee higher than you club' decides to finally take deliberate and definite action with potentially comic and tragic consequences.
