This book is unlike any I have ever listened to. It’s narrated beautifully and was compulsive listening but to tell you anything more would ruin the book for you so no hints from me

What I will say is the book is not for the squeamish, it tells of The introduction of Raymond Reynolds into the world of BDSM at a very expensive elite fandom club

D.L.King is not an unfamiliar author to me. This was however a book that I had no idea they had written. I must say it was a bit of a change from my usual genre journeys in any format. I will say that I really enjoyed the narration by Jenet Le Lacheur. The idea of a female led D/s power exchange while not new to me had not ever really grabbed my interest for reading(when the submissive is male) until I saw this book. While listening to Mr Reynolds have the intense journey he did in his endeavor to find his ultimate connection I was engrossed to the point of not wanting to push pause. All of the elements that create the atmosphere that is so unbelievably believable are a testament to D,L. King's ability to bring the reader up close and personal with the insecurities folks who do not fit the cookie cutter mold for sexual, sensual and erotic interaction experience and the unique way to journey through them. Thanks for binging the BDSM world from total vanilla to Mistress Susan in one amazing listen. Anybody who enjoys good erotic, sensual listening...peppered with a bit of BDSM will surely not want to miss this gem

I wouldn't normally review my own books, but after finally getting the chance to listen to the complete book, I had to write a review, most specifically for the narrator, Jenet Le Lacheur. She's wonderful! Previously, I had only had the opportunity to hear the sample and knew I liked her voice, but after hearing her narrative representations of my characters, I was enthralled. I feel she really understood my "World of Melinoe". Her voice is sensuous and playful, as well as connoting quiet power as needed, and I loved her characterizations, especially of Dr. Westgate and Mistress Susan. I do hope she is able to narrate the second book, The Art of Melinoe as I will very much look forward to listening to it!

As for the book, itself, well, what can I say? Even though I wrote this book quite a while ago, I still love it. I hope you will too. And remember, Audible gives you a hands free reading experience...
