Pretty good

This is an erotic genre book, meant to be mainly BDSM. So, the reader be warned: if that's not something you would be willing to spend 3 hours listening to, then don't choose this book. Also, this book contains very explicite sex scenes and some R-rated language, so don't listen to it with children in your vicinity.
That being said, there are quite a few non-erotic scenes, given that the book takes less than 3 hours to finish. The author clearly wanted to spend some time setting up the story, and takes about an hour (one third!) of the book to do so. The first erotic scene is not BDSM though, but rather straightforward lesbian lovemaking. It's as if the author wants to tease his readers a little longer - which may be quite fitting in a way, given the genre, but at the same time he's taking the risk that not all of his readers/listeners who chose this particular book are in the mood for sweet, gay sex.

Narration is fine, although I didn't like the very rough Australian accent & acting voice the narrator chose for the Charlie character. I get that he wanted to convey some roughness and crudeness, but to listen to it for quite a long time is something else.

All in all I can recommend this, if you're in for an easy three hours of light entertainment, with some romantic (gay) sex and some (straight) BDSM scenes.

OK

I don't feel like this was the Commander's best work. A lot of the scenes felt rushed, and almost routine. Normally I enjoy his specific ways of having scenes play out, the pacing and all but this one just felt different. Which is a real shame because the idea seems to hold a lot of potential.

The Kingdom of Charlie

This story is about two women who survive an air disaster in the Pacific. To continue to survive, they voluntarily become slaves of King Charlie and submit to his kind of sex at night. This was an interesting book. Maxx Power did an OK job with the narration. I received this free coy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

excellent ending

this was an excellent story with a phenomenal ending. HEA. This Author and narrator really has a way of making the reader feel the emotions of the characters .

Quite a fun tale

Commander James Bondage tells a fun tale in the Kingdom of Charlie. Yes, it has all the explicit dominance that one would expect, so don’t fret. This one has a twist towards the end and the ending is quite pleasant. Definitely one of my favorite CJB books so far. A definite must read/listen for fans of the genre and author!
