Originally from Philadelphia, Dap Sugar Willie broke into the stand-up comedy scene of the 1960's and '70's. Willie is a storyteller; his routine is never lacking in plot or character. The listener can hear the audience holding their breath in the background and finally exploding with laughter when the punch line hits. The Ghost of Davy Crockett is a well-crafted comedy routine. Here Willie talks about human relationships, marriage, and American history. The language is explicit, but Willie's voice is soothing and inviting. The listener can't resist his charm.
