Serena Duval has everything or so it seems. As the company’s celebrated prima ballerina, she commands the stage with elegance and discipline, but offstage, she feels trapped by the relentless expectations of perfection. When a new production calls for daring costumes that challenge her comfort and expose her in more ways than one, she finds herself working closely with Theo Marchand, the company’s brilliant and flamboyant costume designer.

Theo is a mystery within Meridian Ballet. He's sharp-witted, impeccably stylish, and often dismissed as unattainable by the women around him because of his assumed sexuality. But when his fittings with Serena turn unexpectedly intimate, sparks ignite. Beneath the silk and sequins, he reveals a passion for her that is both tender and consuming, shattering her carefully controlled world.

As whispers spread about their late-night “dress rehearsals,” Serena must confront her fear of vulnerability, on stage, in love, and in the eyes of a company eager to tear down its star. Theo, for his part, must decide if he’s ready to live openly and claim what, and who, he truly wants.
