Now that is the Lucy Smoke I know and love! Wow, this book gets dark, super dark. Without giving anything away I saw a few twists coming. Our poor FMC has some very valid trust issues that aren't going to get much better at this rate. Take trigger warnings seriously, this book get super dark, spicy and violent. What a cliffhanger, I can't say I didn't see this coming but definitely need answers. Now on to the next one, kudos Lucy I am hooked!

This audiobook is narrated by Alyssa Avery and Ash Beverly. Alyssa & Ash were a phenomenal fit for the narrators. I absolutely love both of them and they work perfectly as a team to bring this series to life.

The Demons We Hide is book two in the Scorpion 🦂 Kings series. Juliet is quite pissed at the Kings for their perceived betrayal. They turned her apartment and all her belongings to ash. (Or so she thinks) they are also trying to control her. She is mad at herself for ever letting them in, letting herself trust them. She is determined to never let it happen again and to get her revenge on them by any means possible. She feels like she can’t trust anyone and every time she lets her guard down they disappoint her. Nolan, Lex, and Gio fight for their independence from Gio's dad, which is turning out to be harder than they thought. A mystery man showing up, claiming to be connected to one of the guys, could just be the help they need. Will all the secrets destroy everything? Will they make it through?
