Brit, a therapist who works with mostly rodeo riders who have been hurt, meets just such a rider when she's sent out to help him with a knee injury after he rode a bull. She's tough, has had to be, and she's hiding a lot of secrets. However, something about River Raine makes her insides flip and has her wanting to do more than simple therapy with him. And River, a man who has had his share of women while riding the circuit, finds himself mesmerized by this beautiful woman.

When her past catches up with her, River Raine decides breaking this wild woman will have to take second place to protecting her - not just from those after her but from herself. For someone who has left a string of broken hearts behind him, this is new territory, and he'll do whatever it takes to hang onto this one. Even if it puts her in even more danger.

I really liked the story and enjoyed the way the tale unfolded. I have always liked a strong heroine, and Brit has a lot of strength. I love how nonchalant River is about his life and his family. It gives him a more down-to-earth feel.
The coincidences were fun, and the fire between these two characters sizzled. It's got a lot more sex in it than I'm used to reading from this author, but it didn't detract from the story itself. I will have to go back and read the first book in the series before moving on to the book #3.

LC did an amazing job narrating this book. I usually never buy audio books where their is a southern accent. I'm from Texas and most of the time the narrator just can't pull it off. They usually sound like someone from The Beverly Hillbillys. Her accent in this book was very well done. I will admit the H sounded a little feminine and that took me a bit to get used to but otherwise it was perfect.
I have read many books from LD and this is definitely my favorite series. I hope she continues the series.

I love all of her others books but I hope she gets back to writing about these guys. I'm not sure why she stopped writing this series but these guys are so wild and crazy, so hot and sexy, their stories need to be told. Great cowboy erotica like this is rare. More please!

Crazy Hot and Wild Brothers!

I liked this book even more than book one. This book had a little more suspense and it was a little more thrilling.

We still get the animalistic yumminess of the first book but just in a little bit of a different way.

Brit is a character I feel for, but also admire because she has had to fight for herself and she came out on top.

River wasn’t a favorite character of mine especially in the beginning, but he grows on you and you can’t help but love the way he falls for Brit and how he will do anything it takes to keep her safe.

The dynamic between all the brothers is fun to listen to and I also think Liz Chastain doesn’t a fabulous job with the characters and not only that her male voice... Spot on!

I love this story - wish there were more stories on the other characters. Wasn’t thrill with the voice actor. Heard worst for sure. She just sounded like a robot.

I started this book right after I finished book one Propositioning Mr. Raine, I found myself falling for the Raine brothers and wanting more! It was sexy, funny and had sweet and not moments!

Another good entry into the Raines series.

So far I am loving the Raine series. And with the character set up I am hoping to see all the guys stories come out.

River was something else. His character was a bit excessive in his treatment of Brit; blunt and crude may not be a strong enough description. Storyline was similar to previous book with some differences. Narrator did a good job with characters. There is enough brothers to add another audiobook to series.

Story 2 is even better than 1. Though I liked how the wrapped up Navarro and Trina's story, maybe. No spoilers but I liked the storyline trouble that follows Brit. I can't wait for number 3.
