Audiobook: Scarlet Love: This was our first-time hearing Scarlet Love and she brought Ginger to life. She truly embodied Ginger and what she stood for. She was sexy and sensual. She spoke with this breathy tone that we believed Ginger would use at all times. Scarlet gave a woman who understood, embraced, and loved her sexuality with her voice alone. In all she understood the assignment. The whole audiobook was a complete production. The added music and sounds made the audiobook a whole performance.

Ginger: If, “daddy,” was a woman it would be Ginger. She knew when to take charge and did it effortlessly.

Michael: If, “mine” was a man it would be Michael. He was possessive over his possessions.

Ryan: If, “I choose you,” was a man it would be Ryan. There was just something special and secure about him.

Purple Honey by M. D. Kirkley was an experience from beginning to end and unlike anything we’ve read before. The story starts off grabbing and holding your attention from the first words. The chapter names were fitting and definitely set the tone of the chapters. It all gave a special touch and uniqueness to the story. The writing was also smart and sexy. It was confident and intense. Kirkley is a descriptive writer and that’s something these two sisters really do appreciate. Michael, Ginger, and Ryan had a relationship that was one of a kind. We loved how she wrote these men and how she kept them true to character while also elevating them. Something else Kirkley did so well was right them lights lol. The lights were blinding throughout the whole story. This short read left an impact for sure.

Erotica is a sub-genre I haven't visited in some time. M.D. Kirkley was a great reintroduction into said space. Purple Honey brings the reader into the world of BDSM and polyamorous relationships. Although Emily, I'm not calling her the pet name because she said that's what those close to her call her and I don't like that heffa, bothered my spirit. Kirkley did an excellent job of exploring the importance of communication and consent in the non vanilla underworld. I loved the fact that each character is their own person outside of the relationship and how each conflict is handled. I find it important to state, if you're one of those gurlz (before you come for me this term embraces all genders and non conforming, thanks for coming to my TED talk) who doesn't like sexcapades that venture out of the vanilla skinemax approved scenes and positions, this one right here needs to be avoided by you. Kirkley does an outstanding job of taking readers on the journey of Ginger, who is exploring her fantasies come to life after discovering how unfilled with her "perfect" partner. The authors imagination is vivid and detailed; She really makes you feel like you were there - From the intimate sessions to the clothing of her characters! "Choosing between her heart and lungs" and "The completion of the incompletion" were poignant idioms of this book that gave it a nice touch. The Deliciously Delicate and Bold Purple Honey is unlike what's made in the Carolinas. Great 1st book of many to come
