The valet brought Samantha's Jaguar around to the front for them. He accidentally dropped the keys on the ground and without thinking, Samantha ordered Nicholas to pick them up. The valet left. When Nicholas went to pick up the keys, Samantha stepped on his fingers and said, "Stay down there."

He couldn't tell if anyone could see them but he listened to her and did as she said.

"This is how things are going to be. I'm in no way, shape or form going to give up what is rightfully mine. Do you understand me?" Samantha said looking down at Nicholas.

"Yes. I'm really sorry that this has happened. Are you going to divorce me?" He looked up at her with pleading eyes.

"Oh no, that would be too easy for you to get off with. Besides, what would I get from the divorce?" She asked, then answered her own question, "Nothing. Absolutely nothing at all. I deserve a whole lot more than that." Still standing on his fingers, she continued, "From now on you will do everything I say and question nothing I do if you want to continue this marriage and the lifestyle we have. Do you understand?"

"Yes." He was starting to feel pain shoot through his hand and arm from her standing on his fingers. But, he didn't have a choice. He didn't want to lose her or what he had left and if she divorced him, that is exactly what would happen. There was no prenuptial agreement signed. He also loved his wife very much.

"You do understand the situation and how things are going to be from now on, don’t you?" she asked. Nicholas nodded his head yes but she told him to tell her what he understood.
