Pasco County is in a growing portion of Florida, with lots of growing pains. The county runs from waterfront property along the Gulf of Mexico to rural farmland in the center of the state. One of Pasco County's biggest problems is drugs. The county has become the Meth capital of Florida along with other significant problems such as homelessness and prostitution.

Jack Myers and Riley McFarland are investigators who are willing to confront the county's problems, head on. Jack is with the State of Florida Drug Enforcement Bureau and is about to retire after almost twenty-five years in law enforcement. However, before that can happen, he must prove his innocence after his wife is murdered or go to jail for her killing. Riley is with the Pasco County Sheriff's Office and must find the killer of a prostitute and prove that she is worthy of being in law enforcement. They both feel the two murders are related.
