This family of bullies lives in Lusty,Texas where wives often have 2 or more husbands and the men actually believe that they are good & loving husbands. Evidently in Lusty it is acceptable to beat your wife as long as you open her car door and call her sweetheart.
Except for the sporadic violence, the story of how these 2 brothers (1 deputy sheriff, 1 rancher) "courted" Kelsey is sort of cute and sweet, with flowers, candles, hot sex and almost believable affection.
There were interesting minor characters and suspense (someone trying to kill Kelsey) but I couldn't get past the domestic abuse. While I admired the brothers for being honest about their violent intentions, I wanted Kelsey to scream " Hell No".
