I love this story couldn't stop listening to it manda and jake had a lot of trials and tribulations to go through but in the end it was amazing the ending. Lucy Rivers does an amazing job narrating this book.

I really enjoyed this book. It's full of humor, feistiness, steamy scenes, and much more. I couldn't put it down. Now, guess I should read the first book, oops! I would recommend this book to any one who enjoys this type of genre.

I really liked the story. I do wish he had a pov, it would have made the story better. Plus it was bonus that Makayla was not in this book .. overall it was a good book

I really enjoyed this story. Jake is a great character. Strong, intelligent, talented and loveable. Amanda, while being a smart lawyer, kind of drove me a little... nuts. She bounced around, emotionally, so often that I felt like I got whiplash. Toward the end she got better and I really enjoyed how the characters ended up. Can't wait to read more about the other characters. Well done to the author.

With the market currently flooded with MMA fighter novels and me being a relatively picky rlistener, it takes something above and beyond to keep me reading this type of novel these days. Oh, and I am a big fan of MMA so I get kind of twitchy when it’s not done right. Sarah Castille has done it right and then some 

Amanda is a junior associate in a high-powered and powerful law firm and she is absolutely on track to become partner and finally earn her parents’ approval. She has gone above and beyond what is expected of her, sacrificed every free moment of her life and, made sure her behavior and demeanor are above reproach. Outside of the office, Amanda has a delightful friend with benefits and a box full of pro bono cases that she actually does cherish. In all, Amanda’s life is going exactly the way she planned it and then in the blink of an eye it is all taken from her. In a fit of anger and absolute betrayal, one of the senior partners at her law firm and, coincidentally her father’s best friend threatens to expose Amanda’s relatively naughty private life is she doesn’t sleep with him. Not one to be blackmailed and certainly not one to whore herself out, Amanda refuses to bow to her boss’s wishes and is summarily relieved of all her duties and responsibilities with the firm. With no job and the threat of total personal and professional humiliation hanging over her, Amanda retreats completely from the world.

Jake Donovan is the most beautiful man Amanda has ever seen and for two short months he was hers. Thanks to her games and total inability to commit, Amanda lost Jake and for two years has regretted the loss immensely. Imagine her surprise when it is Jake (thanks to her best friend and book one heroine, Makayla) who knocks on her door and forces her back into the world of the living. Completely confused by Jake’s presence in her life, Amanda tries to keep herself from hoping for the impossible, reconciliation and a return to a life she once loved. For Jake, his presence in Amanda’s life is completely clear and this time he doesn’t intend to lose her. From the beginning, Jake knows his road to a HEA with Amanda is going to be hard but he has no idea how hard until he is all up in the middle of her crazy.

The sexual tension between Jake and Amanda is so high that both are constantly on edge. If they are going to make it, they have to be a part of each other’s lives and that means interacting and trying to control their sexual desire so they can work through their past issues. With Jake’s encouragement, Amanda opens her own law firm, files a hefty lawsuit against her former employer and, begins training at Redemption. Her future, both personally and professionally is completely uncertain and though she is glad to have Jake back in her life, Amanda isn’t sure she has the fight in her that she needs to get to a HEA. Jake for damn sure has the fight in him but Amanda is stubborn beyond reason and even the most patient man has his limits. Unbelievably, Amanda finds a way to yet again break both their hearts and threaten their future together.

The Bottom Line: Sarah Castille and her naughty Redemption series has just stolen my heart!! I am all kinds of on board this train and willing to ride no matter where the conductor wants to go  In Your Corner isn’t just Amanda and Jake’s story but also an evolution of the series as a whole. We primarily get Jake and Amanda and their story is certainly interesting but we also get a glimpse into the lives of a whole host of other characters. There is Penny, Amanda’s feisty British assistant; Ray, the hardcore private investigator who just can’t seem to give up on Amanda; Rampage, the loveable and slightly slow Redemption fighter who just adores Amanda and, Fuzzy, the police officer and Redemption fighter who seems to always be in the middle of an Amanda-created mess. Like its predecessor, Against the Ropes, In Your Corner is a hot contemporary romance with a little bit of everything for a wide variety of listeners. For myself, the Redemption series is MMA fiction done right and though the books are a bit formulaic, I just simply don’t care.

Lucy Rivers as always was fantastic with the delivery of the story.

As much as I enjoyed the 1st book in the Redemption series I loved this book. I laughed so often and Lucy Rivers brought this story to life just as she did in the 1st book. This was worth the wait and purchase.

When you have always lived in the shadows you learn to take care of yourself. When you find the one that's perfect for you can't comprehend that she doesn't trust anyone and you don't understand untill you meet her parents

This book was much better than the previous one. This book was much more emotional including many moments of angst. Both the Hero and the Heroine suffered emotional abuse, while growing up, and the scarring affected their abilities to have a healthy, loving relationship. They do get their HEA but they suffer several numbs, along the way.
