The story was heavy but could be healing for someone interested in PTSD or abusive parents. You get a HEA but its a lot of serious going on.

Cole keeps your imaginative thoughts answered with a sequel that picks up where we left off in a nonconventional way. I love how she can illustrate the journey of Madison's controlling personality while fully capturing new characters and their perilous journeys too. Some parts in the first half were off putting at first because you are wondering about Gabe and Madi; but, she--of course--does an outstanding job pulling everything together as if it were real life. Cole is a very talented writer--she writes believably, boldly, shockingly and intensely. It's addicting, it's synergism. I very much appreciated her epilogue over PTSD, it made me cry--for the 12th time over listening to the book--and her gratitude for the many men and women whose life decision was the military. I love her books.

The sequel every girl wants.
