There’s a surprisingly good story connected to these characters. We meet Caitlin in Huge X2 as Carrie’s best friend. She was very disappointed that Brian didn’t pursue a relationship with her. In this book, she meets handsome twins that look like Brian, but are only visiting for the summer. She really likes Austin & Jason and decides to ‘go home’ with them. Afterwards, as they go to drive her home, they run into Brian, and she finds out they’re his half brothers.
In between, Caitlin has a very emotional time of it with a major health scare, opposing parents, Carrie almost dying, and more.
Kelly does a very decent job of narration.
