I received a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

This is a steamy BDSM romance with, fortunately, an underlying story. This is the story about Gini and Marcus, ex Navy, who suffers of a PTSD (posttraumatic stress disorder). They learn to knowing each other more while a pirate weekend at Replay, the local BDSM resort. Marcus is a dominant and Gini experiment the submissive role. It's interesting to know more about the emotional help Rex, Marcus's service dog, can give to him. The narrator is as good as usual.

AmazIng read! This is one of my favorites from this series. Marcus is a man on a mission. He knows he wants Gini and will do whatever it takes to have her. Marcus is a dark man with even darker passion. Will a night at Replay- A BDSM themed Resort help them come together? You’ll have to listen to find out. La Petite Mort brings the characters to life. Well done!

Quick read about Gini and Marcus during a long weekend at a BDSM role play resort. They met a few months before and Gini was really into Marcus but he sent her away. Now she knows why...Marcus suffers from severe PTSD. The two work through several D/S scenes while figuring out what they truly want from each other.

Would you listen to Hooked again? Why?

Yes, loved the story, well written and interesting characters with an appropriate level of erotic content without too much, nor over the top.

Who was your favorite character and why?

There were three, Gini, Marcus and Rex. Marcus, strong, alpha but not over the top. Gini, intelligent thoughtful and not weak. Rex - who doesn't love dogs?

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

Yes. It matched the pace of the story.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No

Narration voice suited to Marcus and Rex, certainly not Gini. I found it difficult when a strong male voice attempted to soften to read the female parts.

I loved hooked. I have been reading the replay series and was glad Hooked was on Audible. I really wish the whole series was.
And I loved the book and how it shows that people with PTSD and other disabilities can and do their own thing too. The BDSM aspect of the story was just enough to keep it Hot and not so over the top it makes you want to cringe. No no no if anything it makes me want to read the rest of Nia’s stories wtg!
Omg was La Petite Mort amazing as a narrator!
