I like this story even more than book1. The 2 protagagonists were more likeable, and despite their darkk-and-angsty backgrounds their BDSM romps were lighter and more playful, without the possibly problematic non consensual aspects of the 1st book. The inevitable romance was sweet and affecting. Best of all, the book fleshes out the SciFi setting some more, and significantly advances what is shaping up to be an epic space-opera adventure plot arc for the remaining six books in the series

The narrator was very good, even if his pace is a bit slow. His voice acting is top notch though: the characters are all very distinct and he manages to convey deep emotions without being too melodramatic\over-the-top.

The flow of the story from the first book to the second is perfect. Now I can't wait to start the next book. The characters are interesting and the story has twists and turns that will keep you guessing. The narration adds to the enjoyment. The hot love making is great too!

While I like this series and it's story I hate how rape is casually thrown out there. For example Lily isn't just a slave but a sex slave. She does run away from her original owners but still has to suffer through rape later in the book and not just by one but a group of men. Honestly if I had known before I would have skipped this book entirely. It's also discouraging that no one mentions it in there reviews.

I love the story and overall plot... but sometimes the narration makes you roll your eyes by how much he draws out a word. Almost lethargic.... I want to hear the rest of the series because the story is awesome. Just wish there was a different narrator.

I enjoyed this audiobook of the second book of the Zandian series very much. This story of Lily and Roc, the sister of the princes mate and the mercenary Zandian. There is a lot of domination and sex in this book and if BDSM makes you uncomfortable this book probably isn't for you. If you like a book full of sex, this is it. The plot was pretty decent and the narration was good too!

of the author leaves the book a little fast and doesn't give any epilogue or views into the future, I guess that suits the story. I enjoy the writing of this author. it's a very character oriented story and though you could easily figure it out without the book one it does definitely help to have booked one under your belt to read this in my opinion you'll be very glad you read both of these books.

I find it odd the author uses alternative words for swears but, has no problems using slang terms for genitalia. I would hope if you're reading this book you are of age.

I really enjoyed the first book and the 2nd book definately deepens the story. This book was Not as cold or sexual, but definately had more meat to the plot. It also was much sweeter stiry. I can't wait to listen to next installment.

Action-packed; HOT; entertaining

Who was your favorite character and why?

Rok is my favorite. But I love how the characters from Book1 are woven into the fabric of this story as well. But enjoyment of this stand-alone book is in no way dependent upon having read the first book.
I loved watching how Rok's mind and heart evolve through the course of this book. He starts out feeling one way but grows into being a very different person.

Which scene was your favorite?

A favorite scene of mine is when Rok takes Lily to his cabin in his space ship and all the varying interplay of emotions and the psychological back and forth between the characters. It is extremely well written and a prime example of why this author is a best seller!!!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes, it had sections that made me laugh and sections that made me cry. And sections that made me squirm and drool.... HOT!!!

Any additional comments?

I especially enjoyed the narration by Jiraiya Addams. His voice brings a unique quality to the story that I found extremely swoon-worthy!!
