Vic did a great job showing us the good, bad and even the ugly sides of porn. I know a few porn performers personally- male and female, and get different feelings from each of them.
Vic was very entertaining in narrating his own book, but I could have done without some of the female commentary- just seems like a bunch of stupid, drugged out teenage girls.
All in all, I’ll never look at porn the same again. I’ll still enjoy it, but I’ll also remember they are real humans, often wearing a mask that are entertaining me to pay the rent.

Vic Lagina’s memoir of working in the adult industry during the golden years of the internet reads like a real-life version of boogie nights, complete with ups, downs, adventures, and tragedies. If you were on the internet in the 2000s, you will recognize many of the names, scenes, and sites he tells inside stories about. You will also hear directly from many of them, with audio clips of producers and performers scattered throughout, along with original songs, skits, and re-enactments in this well-produced audiobook. Very entertaining and highly recommended for anyone interested in the adult entertainment world or simply looking for an interesting real-world tale.

To my pleasant surprise, “Filthy” offers much more than a story about the porn industry and its “challenges”. While it primarily focuses on the industry, filming porn, porn stars, and all porn-related topics, it also tells an almost unbelievable story of Vic Lagina's rise to fame and success. How does he transform from a young, confused, and unsuccessful college graduate into a leading figure in the porn world? Great story. The narrative is highly engaging and entertaining. Lagina's narration keeps me engaged, sometimes making me laugh or even cry. It might be the best narration I've heard on Audible. Thankfully, the book is uncensored, as I can't imagine it being as impactful in an edited or censored version. I also appreciated the sound bites, which enhanced the whole experience, almost putting me right in the scene. I highly recommend this book!
