Acerca de esta escucha
The roaring 20s are the perfect time to be tall, slim, and wealthy. Felicity Fortnum is all three, but unfortunately in addition to being well-heeled she is also decidedly well-bosomed, which makes her stand out in London society, quite literally. But she's not going to let her soccer-ball-sized appendages spoil her fun. In fact, with the help of the dependable and resourceful family valet Jennings, she's going to do everything she can to make big bosoms fashionable again! In this first story, Felicity's boobies acquire new nicknames, Jennings lends a hand (or two) at bathtime, and a plot to thwart a Wagnerian operatic production by means of gratuitous topless nudity goes spectacularly awry. Tally-ho!

Jane is a young New York woman who never seems to find the right man - perhaps because of her secret obsession with Mr. Darcy, as played by Colin Firth in the BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice. When a wealthy relative bequeaths her a trip to an English resort catering to Austen-obsessed women, however, Jane's fantasies of meeting the perfect Regency-era gentleman suddenly become more real than she ever could have imagined. Is this total immersion in a fake Austenland enough to make Jane kick the Austen obsession for good?

Historia
Rose Baker seals men’s fates. With a few strokes of the keys that sit before her, she can send a person away for life in prison. A typist in a New York City Police Department precinct, Rose is like a high priestess. Confessions are her job. It is 1923, and while she may hear every detail about shootings, knifings, and murders, as soon as she leaves the interrogation room she is once again the weaker sex, best suited for filing and making coffee. This is a new era for women, and New York is a confusing place for Rose. Gone are the Victorian standards of what is acceptable. All around her women bob their hair, they smoke, they go to speakeasies.

In the sleepy Bavarian town of Gesternstadt, gossip was viewed by many as a local sport, a popular hobby, a harmless pastime that showed only the depth and enduring nature of the interest of one neighbour for another. In Gretel’s opinion, however, tittle-tattle sowed the seeds of malice among the fertile soil of jealousy, often watered by the tears of its victims. So it was that upon hearing from brother Hans of the whispers concerning a young woman, a married man and a thwarted lover, Gretel is compelled to rise from her beloved day bed to set things to rights.

One of the most beloved authors in the field of historical romance, the remarkable Loretta Chase proves that Silk Is for Seduction. The acclaimed New York Times best-selling author brings listeners the first in a very sexy, emotionally rich new series in which sisters from a rather scandalous aristocratic family - the purveyors of the most fashionable shop in Regency London - discover passion and love as sumptuous as the exquisite gowns they create.

An absolute delight for lovers of breasts & opera!
What a lot of fun it was listening to this story by Lesley Finch. I suppose that the 1920s were not the best time for a fashionable young woman to be sporting an impressively large pair of bosoms, but Felicity Fortnum certainly makes the best of them. This was a well written and just plain fun story from beginning to end.
The story was complemented perfectly by the narration by Posey Clifford. Her performance was perfect for this story, and her various voices, appropriately tongue-in-check, were a joy to listen to, Don't worry, Posey doesn't actually sing any Wagner, it's all just wonderful narration.
Very much the fun listen, I shall sample more of Ms Finch's work. You may want to as well.
