The core premise is solid. The supernatural dynamics, the romantic tension, and the playful tone create a fun foundation. There’s a nice mix of sass, light danger, and a touch of spice that keeps the pacing brisk. Nothing drags. In fact, it moves so fast you’ll probably finish it in a sitting or two.
That said, the story feels like it only scratches the surface of its own potential. The worldbuilding hints at deeper lore and more complex character arcs, yet it rarely slows down long enough to explore them. A bit more narrative depth, richer backstories, and higher emotional stakes could have elevated this from “good” to genuinely memorable. It almost feels like a pilot episode rather than a fully fleshed-out season.
From an audio perspective, the narration is decent overall, but the experience might have benefited from an additional male narrator. With multiple perspectives and strong male characters, a dual cast could have added texture and immersion. As it stands, it’s competent but not standout.
Bottom line: fun, flirty, and easy to binge, with some enjoyable spice, but don’t expect heavy depth or intricate plotting. If you’re in the mood for a quick paranormal palate cleanser, this one fits the vibe perfectly. Solidly average, still entertaining.
