Dark Hard Chocolate is a collection of ten short stories that deal with black men - from the Caribbean, Africa and Canada - in Toronto. Each of these men is at a different place in dealing with their sexuality. Some men are gay, bisexual, confused or other. Every story looks beyond the characters' sexuality and places them within the context of the families/communities they come from. Here are some of the characters we'll meet in this book. Tony Clark - the nineteen year old Jamaican guy who was kicked out of home...Kofi who felt the need to marry despite having a boyfriend...and more. In the last story entitled Dark Hard Chocolate, we are re-introduced to Damien and Emmanuel. These characters were initially introduced in the author Kwame Stephens' sold out stage play "Man 2 Man".
