Sarah Douglas, a high-powered corporate executive with a life meticulously planned, thrives on control—until a chance encounter with a charismatic stranger unravels her world. Drawn to his enigmatic allure, she surrenders her guarded nature, and secret desires only to find herself entangled in a dangerous game where trust becomes a gamble and survival hangs by a thread. In a pulse-pounding do-or-die moment, Sarah must confront her deepest vulnerabilities to reclaim her power—or lose everything, including herself, to the man who captivated her.
With vivid and unrelenting pace, this novella pulls its listeners into a world of erotic fantasies laced with psychological undertones. Control delivers a singular emotional journey, characteristic of a novella's power to distill life's complexities into an intimate, resonant arc. This erotic psychological thriller delves into the intoxicating depths of obsession, delivering a pulse-pounding narrative that seduces and unsettles in equal measure, as only a novellas focused intensity can.

Control was a fun, quick read that kept me entertained. I immediately hated Alex—he gave me the biggest ick from the start. 😂 I spent a good chunk of the book genuinely concerned for this girl's mental health and questioning all of her choices. Even though I wasn't obsessed with every character, I still had a good time with it and flew through. Definitely a solid 4-star read!

The first half felt almost like a romance, which made the shift into full psychological thriller mode even more effective. The pacing was fast and the tone reminded me of the TV show, Kevin Can F**k Himself, with Sara moving from a muted, controlled life into something vivid and dangerous. The twist around 70% was unexpected and made me rethink everything.
The author has a lovely voice for narration, and I'm impressed that she took that on as an indie author. I would have loved more variation between male and female voices, and there were a few moments where words were slightly clipped. However, I still really enjoyed the audio experience.
Starts like a romance, ends like a thriller
