I enjoyed the twist and turns of this story though it’s a little confusing listening and distinguishing between dream and real life. There’s action and betrayal and it was a wild ride. It brings the heat and I’m here for it. There are some trigger warnings so be aware this isn’t a mushy romance. I had to keep going back to figure out which character was speaking. This should have been a dual narrations. While the narrator would be good for a book in a male perspective, his female voice just isn’t hit for me. Also so weird cadence moments

I loved everything about it. The only thing I would say is since there only the narrators I feel there should be more voices to better I.d. the characters .

This is a great story that follows the romance that develops between Styx(aka Talon) and Emily. Dark versus light. What a rollercoaster ride. It has such a great plot with action, suspense, danger and most importantly love. Skyler Morgan did an excellent job in the narration of all the characters in this book. I received this audiobook for free upon my request. I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased review.

There was plethora of suspects it COULD have been, and wondering whom it MIGHT be, was enthralling! Every character so richly detailed, so beautifully and brilliantly developed! So human! Smooth, emotional, flawless, perfectly timed and perfectly executed narration brought every character, every scene beautifully and brilliantly alive, exactly as the author intended, leaving this listener breathless! Five fantastic stars across all categories. I absolutely loved Captured!

What can you say about Piper Stone's stories? They are absolutely awesome. Full of suspense, drama, sexy hot, alpha males and the women they fight for.
And have Skylar Morgan narrate? He tells ths story with intensity and emotion. Very well done

This was a thrill ride filled with sex, violence, and love. Lots of twists and turns to keep you gripping the edge of your seat. Grade A narration.

Lots of action! Very dominant MMC with a lot of baggage and an interesting character arc. FMC who seemed a little TSTL at first glance, but she also had a redeeming character arc. There were a few twists and turns I didn't see coming.

The narration was good. I noticed a few words were pronounced differently than I've heard, but I could definitely be saying them incorrectly and it didn't bother me enough to take off a star.

Story looks to be book 1 of a series but I read it as a standalone. There's no cliffhanger.

Captured is book #1 in the Cruel Kings series. This is a new author for me and I'm really asking myself why. Styx (Talon) and Emily are a modern Beauty and the Beast-ish story. There's suspense, intrigue, dark mafia, and some pretty steamy scenes (check trigger warnings if you can't take the good stuff🌶). I can't wait for the rest of this series!

Skyler Morgan is a new narrator for me and he did an OUTSTANDING job voicing all the characters. He brings all the emotion and passion to the table. 5/5 stars for his performance.

This book is a dark and gripping tale of desire, deceit, and hidden secrets. The main female character struggles with forbidden urges, which the male character willingly fulfills. As the story progresses, layers of betrayal and mystery keep you hooked, making it hard to put down. By the end, everything comes together in a satisfying conclusion, tying up all the loose ends, which is always appreciated in a good book. This is my first read by this author and I will be back for more.

Piper can plot out a story that will keep you setting on the edge of your seat. Filled with sex, love and action that I love. Skyler is a great narrator. He does the story with emotion.
