Narrator reminded me of Kristin Stewart in twilight. Decent narration but one character was fast and the other slower, making it sometimes difficult to listen to.

Story was quick with no back story or build up. Spicy, devilish and happily ever after.

Sleazy time waster with supernatural soft philosphy elements. 40 year old white guys might not be the target demographic here but I like sacrilege as much, if not more, than the next slob. I appreciate envelope pushing smut and this somewhat fit the bill. It's prose sometimes felt limited, as if just using the phrase thick c-ck repeatedly might be arousing, but it made me feel dirty enough listening to it. The narrator is fearless for the content. My favorite parts were the depictions of obsessive need told on a metaphysical, spiritual, and near cosmic scale - it made me wish the book had stewed more on the pining anticipation (or didn't waffle to grade school level 'how much I like you'). I'm not familiar enough with the dark fantasy or erotica book genres to know that this is very different but my guess is it delivers about what one would expect typical of the type but I enjoyed it as a newbie. There is enough plot and subplot to make it textured and interesting. The premise is dark and questioning. Father Dean has a subplot that somewhat downplays his faith offering a safe method to challenge the character without having to tear away much as religion as an institute. There were times I wish the book has been a little more devilish (compared to extreme horror stuff it's more cartoonish or R rated middling in provocation except for a unique sex act).

This is my first book by this author. I enjoy dark reads and ones that corrupt the good in the best ways. This book has so much tension and so much heat. The thing that for me was to much was the build up before the first actual heated moments (not the dream ones). It just went on and and when I start rolling my eyes and thinking omg we get it. It’s just too much. Over all though I enjoyed it. I enjoyed the banter, the story line and the characters over all. I would definitely read or listen to another of this authors books. The narration was good and I feel like she nailed a succubus and her breathy voice perfectly.

If you are overly religious, easily offended or have any triggers involving a dominate female or religion or military in general I would take a moment to read them before you turn the page.
