Steve and I had been planning the big hike for months. We were headed up the mountain with enough supplies and tents to last a couple of night with our girlfriends. It was going to be the moment that I finally got with Kaitlyn. And then?

Then we got lost, or rather Steve got us lost. After we took a strange path, we couldn't find our way back to the girls. We had been friends forever, but I had always been his wingman. When the sun went down, and it started raining, and it got so cold, I had to finally tell Steve that he screwed up. We needed to set the tent down and take shelter.

Steve insisted on staying out late, to try and find the girls. He set off with a flashlight while I got the tent ready. Later when he came back freezing, the girls were nowhere to be found! I let him snuggle with me in the sleeping bag for warmth, and then one thing led to another...and it turned out Steve wasn't just my best friend.

Few things will change a man like taking a big risk, or a big hike in this case.
