The Seattle International Comedy Competition is an annual, multi-week, judged, stand-up comedy contest. Over 30 comedians, out of hundreds who apply, perform in shows held in comedy clubs, bars, restaurants, casinos, and theaters in and around the Seattle and the Pacific Northwest throughout the month of November. This audio features six 2011 finalists, including Mike Baldwin, the winner.

November’s a special month in Seattle because of the Seattle International Comedy Festival, featuring 30 comedians selected out of hundreds of applicants performing around Seattle and the Pacific Northwest. This album, Best of the 2011 Seattle Comedy Competition, features the top six performances, including Mike Baldwin’s set, the winner. The diversity of talent on this album is a testament to the talent in the Northwest. Baldwin’s set is a treat, recalling Mitch Hedburg’s understatement and dry style. All the sets get better with each listen, making this album a must-own.
