Do you know how people say words that are opposite of what they mean because it is cool? Like when something is really good, they go “wicked” or “that was sick.” It doesn’t make sense, but it happens all the time. Such as with me. It has been said that I have a gift. It’s not a gift, it is a curse. At best it is an unwanted gift. I am different from everyone else. Different is not good. No one likes different. It is one thing to look different as I do, but I see different, and I feel different than everyone else. I am an Empath. I can see colors dancing around people that display their feelings that they have inside them. I get visions and see things that I wish I could unsee. To make it worse anyone who touches me imprints on me and they always seem to have bad come on them. I have tried to protect others from me for several years. Then Tally happened. She wouldn’t let me stay isolated and alone even when I tried to explain the danger, she would be in. She didn’t believe me. She does now. She was attacked and taken, and I couldn’t do anything but hope that her brother would come and help us. He came, but too late to save her from being taken. He blames me, well so do I. But wait, it gets better. Tally, my friend, and those that attacked just happened to be different too. They were werewolves and they changed before my eyes. Now as I am in Ronin’s clutches, I hear her brother ask what I saw. Well, how do explain that one? But he knows I saw the transformation and thus that makes my life forfeit.

Rage fills my entire body when I hear that my sister was attacked and taken by six men. I am the alpha of my pack; it is my job to protect everyone and I failed. I sped there to find the witness that called and get more information. A crazy thing happened as soon as I got out of the car I was nearly knocked over by the most wonderful smell. I searched for the scent and the witness and found that they were one and the same. My Mate. My perfect half I found her! The perfect gift every wolf wants to find. My wolf jumped for joy inside of me and I for a moment I forgot all about my sister in the quest of finding and claiming my little snowflake. But fate is cruel and merciless. She was just a human. She could never be claimed. It would cost us both our lives if I did. Then I learned the worst part, she saw my sister shift. Now by pack law she has to be erased.
