He might vote against them, but these rules will go into effect anyway because no one cares what some man thinks. First, the boys will be given curfews. Later, they’ll be required to wear uniforms. On and on, the local ordinances turn males into second-class citizens. Then there are the college students, kids like Mia and Zack. They both enroll in the brand-new university. Excited to start their adult lives, they continue to date because they’ve been in love for so long. But while Mia starts take Leadership courses, Zack is confined to “service” classes. He doesn’t know it yet, but he’ll be trained as a servant. Because really, boys shouldn’t worry about science or math. Instead, Zack should learn how to please his girlfriend. Cooking and cleaning are the skills he’ll really need. Throughout the city, the men don’t know what’s happening. But even if they figure it out, they’re still surrounded by powerful women who might not let them go. Great book!

Another great work by Ritter. If you let your imagination go just a little she gives a fantastically plausible main storyline and beautifully branches off into three others. A word of caution. If you are a history type, there are some dark undertones which can be drawn from the Nazi persecution of the Jews in the early years of the Reich. Made me a bit uncomfortable but as a Female Supremacist the story still drew me into a delicious fantasy world. Enjoy!
