Hello fellow nonfiction-ites!

With midterm election season quickly approaching, there's been tons of buzz around politics. From remembering John McCain in The Restless Wave, hearing John Kerry's perspective in Every Day is Extra, or keeping track of what's allegedly going down in the White House in books like Fear or The Briefing, there's more than enough for listeners on the entire political spectrum.

But for those getting a little tired of the political headlines in the news cycle lately, there's been plenty non-political books too. I recently had a short conversation with Editors Kat and Sam about The Real Lolita by Sarah Weinman, and it's sent me on a bit of a true crime kick. I've just started listening to Billion Dollar Whale, and it has not disappointed—it certainly makes the commute to and from the office a little more thrilling. Following a modern Gatsby of sorts, it's also shone a light on my recent taste for nonfiction with a literary twist.
