I love

a good list almost as much as I love a good memoir. So when The New York Times Book Review published their cover story on The 50 Best Memoirs of the Past 50 Years, I was all over it: I get to vehemently agree and/or disagree with their choices! I get to discover new listens for my TBLT list! But, mainly, I’m just thrilled that memoirs are having their day in the spotlight. In case you’re wondering: very much agree with Priestdaddy by Patricia Lockwood and Heavy by Kiese Laymon. Hmm, maybe because they’re both hilarious and heartbreaking…looks like I have a type! And the #1 pick—Fierce Attachments—is going on my TBLT list, like, yesterday. (They had me at hidden, difficult, strange, unresolvable. Swoon.)
