Sometimes real life is like the movies

If you’re like me and you love the many great romantic movies set in New York City— Serendipity, How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days, Breakfast at Tiffanys, etc. – then listening to If We Were a Movie will be like a fond visit down memory lane. A musician and an aspiring movie producer room together in a reverse-catfish style NYC housing debacle (Jordan is actually a girl!), which turns out to be quite the happy accident. What’s also great about this story is that it’s told from the guy’s perspective, which I think we always need more of.

Romance meets a mystery

Can creepy be cute? In Serial Hottie, you find out that the answer is yes. Poor Seth sets himself up to fit the profile of a serial killer on the loose, and as much as Ellie likes him, she is not going home alone with him, ever. This is a romance though, guys, so we’re okay (other than the fact that there is actually a serial killer after teenage girls… yikes). If you’re in the mood for a story that’ll give you the heebie-jeebies in time for Halloween, this one is for you.
