A small-town Texas native, e.E. Charlton-Trujillo is an award-winning filmmaker, writer for youth and the co-founder of the nonprofit Never Counted Out. Her books include: Fat Angie, Feels Like Home and Prizefighter en Mi Casa. Her documentary At-Risk Summer focuses on her work with youth on the fringe and features interviews with: A.S. King, Meg Medina, Pat Zietlow Miller, Matt de La Peña, Ellen Hopkins, Laurie Halse Anderson, Kathy Erskine and Michelle Embree.

Known for her humor and heart, Charlton-Trujillo spends much of her free time reading magazines backwards, perfecting her jump shot and posting antics as well as empowerment videos on social media (@pinatadirector). Her highly anticipated Fat Angie: Rebel Girl Revolution releases March 5, 2019!
