I was born in Timisoara Romania in November of 1984. As the son of refugees who immigrated to America to escape the persecution of communism, my appreciation for both my parents risk and the freedom of the United States has grown exponentially now with children of my own. Since I was a small child, I loved to read. I remember in the first grade I won a reading contest (by a landslide) and was awarded a day during school at Hard Rock cafe that is now a Walgreens in Fraser MI. Utilizing the honor system, the student who read the most books for a period of time was the winner. Another memory is when I used to setup my own living room tent and read all the volumes of Goosebumps, RL Stine's Fear Street, and Boxcar Children. I could escape to my own world and put myself into each of the stories. Growing up through middle school and high school English and the arts were top of my list. I remember when after breaking my left wrist in hockey (I'm a leftie), I had to switch to writing with my left. My teacher at the time, Mr. Moore, was such an encourager. He noticed my love for english and his notes on the top of my book reports didn't go unnoticed. After reading Walden by Henry David Thoreau, my love for the arts increased even more. At the tail-end of high school, I made the biggest decision of my life and that was to say "yes" to Jesus Christ as my Savior. There's nothing more important in my life than living a life that says through action to people: "hey, I found something so special and I want to bring you on the journey." I haven't read fiction in years but have mainly focused on the Bible, christian-living/inspiration, and various books about leadership, entrepreneurship, and personal development. I am the husband to my best-friend Katie and we have 3 beautiful girls. We reside in Michigan and enjoy making memories together. I get to wake up everyday to build a life that quite honestly, I've always imagined. Because of vision, there are new milestones that I walk into on a regular basis where I say: "I've seen this before." You can too. Take that next step right through the fear and doubt because what lies on the other-side of the next step is your dream.
