Triplett is a veteran of the Reagan White House and the American Intelligence Community. He is a recognized specialist in national security matters including defense industries. He currently provides strategy and insight on national security, energy, and international commerce matters. He is well known on Capitol Hill. Triplett is the former Chief Counsel to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and has decades of experience working on China and national security issues with legislators and Presidents from both parties. He is a co-author of major bipartisan American security legislation covering arms control, Tibet, cyber warfare, energy, China, Russia, and the Middle East. TV Appearances include CBS' 60 Minutes, Dateline NBC, ABC's 20/20, C-SPAN, CNN (Wolf Blitzer show), Fox (Sean Hannity show), WNPQ's The Schiffer Report, the conservative political talk show with Paul Schiffer, and TV and radio host, Armstrong Williams, a major Black Conservative from the D.C. area. Many of his op-ed pieces have appeared in the New York Times, Washington Post, Defense News, and the Washington Times. He is also a favorite expert used by major news organizations around the world. Or, you may have heard him on hundreds of American, British, and other foreign radio programs. His degrees include a Master of Laws from Georgetown University. He is a graduate of the Defense Language Institute in Chinese Mandarin and is licensed to practice law in D.C. and Maryland.
