One of five children, I grew up in towns all over Colorado. Summers on a farm with cousins and grandparents, or on a race track with my dad or aunt, both who trained race horses. Teenage years in Denver, the big city, with mom who raised all five of us. Some wild years were spent there, on a horse, or a motorcycle, or in a hot rod, but by the grace of god, I survived. Quit school at fifteen and went to work, though I would not recommend this to anyone, a love of reading overcame this shortfall. Met and married the love of my life and moved her to the mountains of Idaho. Raised two children there, through various adventures, with many, many animals. I find myself the grandfather of four spectacular grandchildren, still raising animals of various types, some of which I raced, some to sell, some just became family. Still have that disease, a love of thoroughbred racing, still ride, horses and motorcycles, but have added golf to list of hobbies, as well as writing.
