V.K. Hubbard (1970- ) was born in Omaha, NE while her father was in the military. The youngest of four children, she grew up in Northeast Tennessee. Her mother instilled a love of reading in her. She worked for 20 years as a hairstylist and a nurse. She has one daughter. She also has a granddaughter and a grandson. She wrote her first short story for a creative writing class while attending East Tennessee State University. Her first poem was written in 2009 at the age of 39. She has enjoyed reading from an early age with some of her favorite authors being Jude Deveraux and Nora Roberts. It was from reading voraciously all her life that she obtained the desire to become a published author. Kyna's Awakening is her first published book which she hopes to only be the beginning. The series, Kyna's Journey, has been completed. The three books in the series can be read separately, Or, in the stand-alone version Kyna's Journey. Her fifth book, Love's Destiny is now available in paperback and ebook. Love's Spell is now available in paperback and ebook. She resides in Northeast Tennessee with her wife.
