Ursula James is an unusual author in that her books range from clinical textbooks, on past magic and through to Gothic fiction, which she writes under the name of Ursula Benjamin. Ex-Visiting Professor of Clinical Hypnosis at Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen and a Visiting Teaching Fellow at Oxford University Medical School, she has lectured at numerous UK medical schools including Oxford and Cambridge. She is also a Patron for Anxiety UK and the National Centre for Domestic Violence. Her TV series 'Sex, Lies and Hypnosis' aired in the UK in 2007.
