With his aunt's stories as a guide, he could accept numerous stories historians ignored. Troy began to write. Troy wrote: "Jefferson Davis's brother: Abraham Lincoln," "Izola: John Wilkes Booth's Wife," and "They Wanted Lincoln Dead." Later, he compiled all his information into one book: "Lincoln, Davis, and Booth: Family Secrets."
