One of the most profound scriptures that has shaped my life and ministry is
Matthew 13:45-46 (KJV)
45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:
46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.
In my early christian life i felt as if i was steered more towards the things of this world than to God. As I grew closer to the Holy Spirit i realised that focusing in anything but Christ is detrimental to the christian walk. The main goal of all my work and writing is to glorify christ and bring people back to a place in which they esteem nothing on this earth greater than God. The books i write are my 'widows might' and my way of reaching the people in christendom who are searching for deeper meaning and have a longing and thirst for more than the empty rhetoric of modern preaching. All my books are written with scripture being the central focus of all writing, so if you buy any one of my books make sure you have your bible next to you so we can go through scripture together (covering a range of christian living topics like prayer, Holy Spirit, biblical prosperity and many more to come).
After spending several years under the pentecostal church, there were many things that simply did not add up. As I began to seek God, the Lord opened my eyes to the error that I had grown up in. The Lord lead me through the scriptures and I was slowly delivered from my hyper-Armenian leanings. As I began to seek the truth I began to lean towards Calvinism. But yet again the Spirit intervened to help with my theology. I am neither Calvinist nor Armenian, but rather than try to fit any cognitive persuasion I seek the word for the simple commandments that I can put into practice and teach others. I write from the perspective of a man that understands by Gods grace that I may not always be able to reconcile parallel truths, and accepting that there are somethings I don't understand allows me not to overthink scripture and end up in error.
I thank God for my dealings with the pentecostal church as this is were I met the Holy Spirit in power, but do not consider myself as pentecostal in my beliefs, but I am and avid believer in the person and ministry of the Holy Spirit as taught in the scriptures. I pray my books will be a blessing.
I serve in a very small church in London and I am happy to hear from readers.
