The progeny of a NASA scientist and a tea-drinking bibliophile who turned the family dining room into a library, Theresa Meyers learned early the value of a questioning mind, books and a good china teapot. She started her first novel in high school, eventually enrolling in a Writer's Digest course and putting the book under the bed, writing as a freelancer for newspapers and national magazines. It wasn't until she joined Romance Writers of America in 1993, that she seriously began to pursue a career in fiction. In 2005 she was selected as one of eleven finalists for the American Title II contest, the American Idol of books. She has since sold several novels and novellas. She writes paranormal contemporary and historical Romance, Steampunk, Urban Fantasy, Young Adult books and some Middle Grade fiction. Theresa firmly believes in love and first sight. Afterall, she's married to the first man she ever went on a real date with (to their high school prom), who she knew was hero material when he suffered through having to let her parents drive, and her little brother sit between them in the backseat of the car (which is a whole other story. They've been married over 29 years. They currently live in a Victorian house on a mini farm in the Pacific Northwest with their children, three cats, a spunky palomino mare, an energetic mini-Aussie shepherd and an out-of-control herb garden. When she isn't writing, reading, watching movies (her favorites include Stardust, Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, Lost Boys and too many others and the television series Supernatural) she's usually having tea with her friends, working at the school (she's an adjunct professor) or outside enjoying the flowers. If you're curious to know more, you can always find her website online at https://www.theresameyers.com/, or visit with her on Twitter and FaceBook.
