Terry Beckstrom is a security and nonverbal communications expert who spent 25 years as a special agent and supervisory special agent with the U.S. Department of Justice (DEA), where he led an elite task force group that investigated international criminal organizations at the highest levels. The group was recognized as one of the most productive operations groups in DEA history. Terry is a sought-after trainer and dynamic motivational speaker both in the law enforcement community and the private sector, training groups both domestically and internationally, including Fortune-500 companies. Terry has trained thousands of individuals and is widely recognized for his knowledge, and dynamic training style in body language, leadership, communication, negotiation, persuasion, conflict management, and human behavioral profiling. Terry has been referred to as 'one of the country's top authorities on body language and communication,' and is known for his ability to captivate his audiences during speaking engagements. Terry graduated from The University of South Carolina-Columbia, attended graduate school at Florida International University in Miami, and holds certificates in Advanced Negotiation and Executive Leadership from The Harvard Negotiation Institute at Harvard Law School and Cornell University respectively. Terry is the founder and CEO of The Beckstrom Group, LLC, which specializes in professional development course design and training. Terry is the author of the books LiveSafe, A Practical Guide to Personal and Family Security, Spoken Silently, The Art and Practice of Reading People, First Impressions, The Art and Practice of Making a Profoundly Positive First Impression, Fearless, Developing a Mindset of Courage, and the host of the acclaimed podcast Life Moments.
